NFA-BRO: The Online NFA Transfer Platform for Independent FFL/SOT Dealers

The $0 NFA Tax Changed Everything — Has Your Workflow?

The $200 NFA transfer tax was eliminated January 1, 2026 under H.R. 1 (the One Big Beautiful Bill Act). Suppressor, SBR, and AOW demand is accelerating. National NFA platforms like SilencerShop and Silencer Central built their online workflows with $2,500+ hardware kiosks and a revenue-sharing model that takes a cut of every sale. NFA-BRO gives independent FFL/SOT dealers the same capability in software — for the cost of their FFL-BRO subscription.

  • โœ“$0 hardware required — no kiosks, no dedicated scanners, no upfront investment
  • โœ“100% of the margin stays with you — no per-sale revenue share
  • โœ“Customers shop on your site, build your brand, and stay in your relationship
  • โœ“H.R. 1 compliant — $0 tax stamp workflows, updated forms, correct fee handling
  • โœ“Suppressor demand up 5× since January 2026 — built to scale with volume

๐ŸŒ Online NFA Intake Platform — Your Customers Self-Serve From Home

The Online Intake Platform is the feature that changes everything for independent dealers. Instead of weeks of back-and-forth collecting documents, customers complete their entire NFA transfer packet from home — before the suppressor even arrives at your FFL. Place the shortcode [fflbro_nfa_intake] on any WordPress page. Share the link after purchase. Done.

  • โœ“Entity Type Wizard: 3-question guide steers buyers to Individual or Trust — stops the #1 cause of Form 4 restarts
  • โœ“Online Profile: legal name, DOB, address, ID collected once — reused on every future purchase automatically
  • โœ“Fingerprint Locator: customer enters ZIP → nearest FBI-certified LiveScan vendors shown with hours & fees
  • โœ“In-Browser Photo Capture: live 2”×2” crop, quality check, 60-second completion
  • โœ“Online RPQ: ATF Form 5320.23 completed with tooltips and ESIGN Act e-signature — trust buyers handled automatically
  • โœ“Auto Form 4: intake completes → Form 4 record created, dealer notified, customer gets portal link

Form 4 Queue — Every Transfer Tracked, Every Step Covered

The Form 4 Queue tracks every NFA transfer from document collection through ATF approval and customer pickup. A readiness score on every record shows exactly what's missing. A hard transfer lockout prevents the compliance violation of releasing an NFA item before ATF approval — it cannot be overridden.

  • โœ“Lifecycle stages: Collecting → Ready to Certify → ATF Pending → Approved → Transferred
  • โœ“Readiness checklist: EFT fingerprints, 2×2 photo, RPQ, trust doc, CLEO notification, ATF control number, approval doc, Form 4473
  • โœ“Hard transfer lockout: Form 4473 + NICS + approval doc required before transfer can complete
  • โœ“ATF control number tracking: enter your submission number, track status through approval
  • โœ“Document Vault: EFT files, photos, trust docs, RPQs stored and linked to each Form 4 record

Customer Status Portal — Zero “Where's My Suppressor?” Calls

Every customer receives a unique, bookmarkable status portal link when their intake completes. They see their transfer stage, readiness checklist, ATF control number, and day counter without calling you. Milestone emails send automatically at submission, Day 30, Day 90, approval, and pickup. Compete directly with the real-time tracking that SilencerShop and Silencer Central offer — from your own site, with your own branding.

  • โœ“Unique portal link per transfer — no login required for customers
  • โœ“Live pipeline: Collecting → Ready → ATF Pending → Approved → Done
  • โœ“Day counter shows how long transfer has been in ATF review
  • โœ“Automatic milestone emails — no dealer action required
  • โœ“Your dealer contact info displayed — customizable from NFA-BRO Settings

NFA Inventory Management & Form 3 Tracking

Every NFA item in your inventory tracked by serial number, linked to its Form 3 inbound transfer and Form 4 outbound transfer. Know exactly what's on your shelf, what's in transit from a distributor, what's pending ATF approval, and what's ready for pickup — all from a single dashboard.

  • โœ“NFA inventory with full serial number, make, model, caliber, and item type tracking
  • โœ“Form 3 log: inbound dealer-to-dealer transfers with date filed, approval date, and receipt confirmation
  • โœ“Form 3 links to Form 4: cannot submit Form 4 until Form 3 is approved and item received
  • โœ“Item status: In Transit → Received → Form 4 Pending → Approved → Transferred
  • โœ“Integrates with FFL-BRO EP+ A&D Bound Book for automatic acquisition entries

SOT Compliance & Forms Library

NFA-BRO monitors your SOT registration status and alerts you 60 days before July 1 renewal. The built-in Forms Library covers all 11 active ATF NFA forms with plain-English instructions, common mistake warnings, and direct download links — from Form 1 (making) through Form 20 (transport).

  • โœ“SOT renewal tracking: alerts 60 days before July 1 — never let your SOT lapse
  • โœ“All 11 ATF NFA forms: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 20, 23, 5320.23 (RPQ), and eForm 4
  • โœ“Current ATF wait times dashboard: Individual 4โ€“14 days, Trust 18โ€“30 days (eForm), Paper 120โ€“365 days
  • โœ“H.R. 1 compliance: $0 tax stamp handling, updated form guidance, SOT annual tax unchanged
  • โœ“Compliance alerts: approved transfers without Form 4473, pending over 30 days flagged

NFA-BRO vs. SilencerShop, Silencer Central & Other NFA Platforms

SilencerShop (Powered By SilencerShop), Silencer Central, and similar national NFA platforms built their dealer networks around hardware kiosks and centralized enrollment. When a customer buys through their platform, SilencerShop handles the intake — but the dealer pays a revenue share and SilencerShop owns the customer data and the relationship. NFA-BRO is the alternative: the same online intake, status portal, and document management capabilities, running on your own website, under your brand, with no revenue share and no hardware cost.

  • โœ“SilencerShop Powered By kiosk: $2,500–$3,500 hardware — NFA-BRO: $0 hardware
  • โœ“SilencerShop: takes revenue share per sale — NFA-BRO: flat subscription, 100% of margin stays with you
  • โœ“SilencerShop: owns the customer relationship and data — NFA-BRO: you own everything
  • โœ“SilencerShop: customers shop on silencershop.com — NFA-BRO: customers shop on your site
  • โœ“Silencer Central: dealer network model with centralized Form 4 handling — NFA-BRO: your FFL, your workflow
  • โœ“Both platforms: limited to their own suppressor catalog — NFA-BRO: works with any distributor you use

NFA-BRO vs. FFL Boss, FastBound & Orchid eBound

FFL Boss includes a basic NFA module ($25/month add-on) that reserves NFA items and automates Form 2, 3, and 4. FastBound and Orchid eBound focus on A&D compliance with NFA item tracking. None include an online customer intake platform, fingerprint locator, customer self-service portal, or entity type wizard. NFA-BRO fills that gap — and is built specifically for dealers who want to compete online in the post-H.R.1 suppressor market.

  • โœ“FFL Boss NFA module: tracks inventory and forms. No online intake, no customer portal, no fingerprint locator
  • โœ“FastBound: excellent A&D + SOT compliance; does not include customer-facing NFA intake tools
  • โœ“Orchid eBound: enterprise A&D platform; NFA compliance support without intake or portal features
  • โœ“NFA-BRO: the only FFL software with a full online customer intake platform built for independent dealers
  • โœ“All run standalone — NFA-BRO integrates directly with FFL-BRO EP+ A&D, Orders, and Form 4473
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is NFA-BRO?
NFA-BRO is an add-on module for FFL-BRO EP+ that gives FFL/SOT dealers a complete online NFA transfer management platform. It includes an online customer intake flow, fingerprint locator, entity type wizard, Form 4 queue with readiness scoring, Document Vault, customer status portal, SOT compliance alerts, Forms Library, and ATF wait times dashboard. It runs on your WordPress/WooCommerce site with zero additional hardware.
How is NFA-BRO different from Powered By SilencerShop?
Powered By SilencerShop requires a $2,500+ hardware kiosk, takes a revenue share on each sale, and gives SilencerShop ownership of the customer relationship and profile data. NFA-BRO requires zero hardware, has no per-sale fee, and everything — the customer data, the relationship, the storefront — stays with your dealership. Customers shop on your site, not silencershop.com.
Does NFA-BRO work with the $0 NFA tax stamp under H.R. 1?
Yes. NFA-BRO is fully updated for H.R. 1 (effective January 1, 2026). The $200 NFA transfer tax for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs is reflected as $0 in all workflows. SOT annual tax ($500 or $1,000 depending on dealer type) is unchanged and tracked separately.
How does the online customer intake work?
Place the shortcode [fflbro_nfa_intake] on any WordPress page. Share the URL with your customer after they purchase a suppressor. The customer completes 7 steps from home: entity type selection (wizard-guided), personal information, fingerprint vendor locator and EFT upload, in-browser photo capture, RPQ with e-signature (trust only), CLEO notification letter, and final review. When complete, NFA-BRO creates the Form 4 record, notifies you, and sends the customer a portal link. The whole flow works on a phone.
What is the fingerprint locator and why does it matter?
Fingerprint logistics is the #1 friction point in online NFA sales — customers don't know where to go to get their EFT (electronic fingerprint transmission) file. NFA-BRO's fingerprint locator lets the customer enter their ZIP code and immediately sees the nearest FBI-certified LiveScan vendors (IdentoGO locations, local sheriffs offering LiveScan, and a Google Maps search for additional options). The EFT file uploads directly into NFA-BRO after their appointment. Returning customers skip this step entirely if their prints are on file.
Can my customers track their suppressor transfer status without calling me?
Yes. Every customer automatically receives a unique status portal link when their intake completes. They can check their transfer stage, ATF control number, and day counter 24/7 without calling your store. Milestone emails send automatically at key stages. This is the equivalent of the Silencer Shop or Silencer Central order tracking portals — on your own dealership's website.
Does NFA-BRO prevent releasing an NFA item before ATF approval?
Yes. NFA-BRO includes a hard transfer lockout. The "Mark Transfer Complete" action is blocked until Form 4473 is confirmed at pickup, the ATF approval document is uploaded, and the status is set to Approved. This lockout cannot be manually overridden. Transferring an NFA item before ATF approval is a federal felony; the lockout is a compliance protection, not an inconvenience.
How does NFA-BRO handle NFA Trust applications?
NFA-BRO's Entity Type Wizard guides customers to Individual or Trust with a 3-question flow. Trust applicants complete ATF Form 5320.23 (RPQ) online with tooltip-explained questions and an ESIGN Act-compliant e-signature. Co-trustees receive email invitations to complete their own RPQ. The system generates a CLEO notification letter automatically. Trust documents upload to the Document Vault and are linked to every future Form 4 for that customer.
How much does NFA-BRO cost?
NFA-BRO is available as a $149/month standalone product or as a $99/month add-on with any FFL-BRO EP+ plan. There are no per-transfer fees, no hardware costs, and no revenue share on sales. See the FFL-BRO pricing page for current plan details.
Does NFA-BRO require WooCommerce or EP+ to work?
NFA-BRO runs as a satellite plugin for FFL-BRO EP+ and requires an active FFL-BRO EP+ installation. WooCommerce integration is available but not required — you can use FFL-BRO's native Orders-BRO for order management. The online intake platform works independently of any e-commerce system.
What ATF NFA forms does NFA-BRO cover?
The Forms Library includes all 11 active ATF NFA forms: Form 1 (making), Form 2 (manufacture notice), Form 3 (dealer-to-dealer tax-exempt transfer), Form 4 (transfer to end user), Form 5 (estate/government transfer), Form 9 (export), Form 10 (surrender), Form 20 (transport), Form 23 (SOT registration), Form 5320.23 (RPQ), and eForm 4. Each includes filing instructions, common mistakes, and a direct ATF.gov download link.
How long does a suppressor transfer take in 2026?
With NFA-BRO's online intake, the time from purchase to ATF eForm 4 submission is typically 3–7 days (vs. 3–6 weeks with a manual workflow). ATF approval time after submission ranges from approximately 4–14 days for Individual eForm 4s and 18–30 days for Trust eForm 4s as of July 2026 (source: Silencer Central, Silencer Shop tracker). Paper Form 4 takes 120–365 days and should always be avoided. NFA-BRO's wait times dashboard shows current ATF processing ranges updated from community sources.
